(7 September 2018) The Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal, on the 150th anniversary of Rossini's death, supports the show of the Italian mezzo-soprano, Sonia Ganassi, with the students of the Rossini Opera Academy of the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance and the master of piano Michele D'Elia. The show will be staged on September 15th at 8pm at the Academy of Music and Performance in Lunenburg (Nova Scotia). Sonia Ganassi distinguished herself particularly in the bel canto repertoire of the early nineteenth century (Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti).
