The documentary film "He Hui a soprano from the Silk Route" (2017), co-produced by Agnese Fontana and Rosario Di Girolamo, was presented on October 30 in Beijing, at the Auditorium of the Italian Institute of Culture by "Le Talee" with Duan Peng and Fan Weidong from "Sunny Way", in association with "DocLab", in collaboration with RAI Cinema and with the contribution of MIBAC, of the Sicilia Film Commission and Roma Lazio Film Commission. The documentary film, directed by Andrea Prandstraller and Niccolo Bruna, focuses on the famous Chinese soprano He Hui, born in a small town in the province of Shaanxi. After studying at the conservatory of Xi'an, the capital of the province, achieved international success in 2002 starring in the role of Tosca in the homonymous opera by Puccini at the Teatro Regio in Parma. He Hui's professional career then grew and consolidated in Italy, where he has lived for over 18 years, while maintaining a close relationship with relatives, friends and the Chinese academic and artistic world.
