Launch of the Italian Jazz Festival <br> connections lab

(12 march 2019) The Italian community of Brussels is one of the most numerous in the city: according to rough estimates, it has over 50,000 people.  Among these, of course, are many musicians and, in particular, many jazz lovers and enthusiasts. Angelo Gregorio, jazz musician and teacher, proposed to the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels to give life to an event aimed at highlighting this rich and varied heritage of professional experiences. Thus the first edition of the Italian Jazz Festival Connections Lab was established and will take place on March 22nd and 23rd. It is a new initiative that aims to become a permanent event in the rich panorama of the musical life of the European capital. It is an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas between artists who combine their original cultural background with the lively excitement of an international context, in which the most diverse voices coexist and dialogue. The first edition will focus on "Italian composers". Each group will present a piece by an Italian composer of his choice, freely interpreting it according to their own artistry.
