Italy-Qatar Forum / Valentini (Mimit): Increase trade and investments

Doha - Italy and Qatar intend to further strengthen industrial collaboration and increase investments. This emerged from the panel "Italy-Qatar Economic and Financial Collaboration: A Business Roundtable" organized in Doha as part of the Italy-Qatar Business Forum. The event, chaired by Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Valentino Valentini, was attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Undersecretary for Industry and Commerce Saleh Majid Al-Khulaifi, and over 150 companies from the two countries. The panel was organized following the visit to Qatar by Minister Adolfo Urso last November. Both parties presented their leading business sectors, the strengths of their respective economic systems, and the main fields of interest for attracting investments. Introducing the discussions, Valentini emphasized the "excellent bilateral relations" between the two countries, characterized by "proximity and mutual cultural understanding." On this basis, he concluded, "we work to further strengthen industrial collaboration and increase investments." (9colonne)
