Cape Town – The Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2025 returns for its 12th edition from February 21 to 23, standing as the largest art fair on the African continent. Organized by Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa, part of the Fiera Milano Group, the fair serves as a global platform for the African and international art market, featuring over 120 galleries, 30,000 visitors, and 10,000 VIPs. Bringing together collectors, curators, artists, and institutions from four continents, the fair offers a unique hub for contemporary art.
This year, seven Italian galleries will contribute to showcasing contemporary creativity, enriching the international dialogue with innovative proposals: CELLAR Contemporary (Trento), Dep Art Gallery (Milan), Galleria Anna Marra (Rome), Galleria Giovanni Bonelli (Milan / Pietrasanta), Galleria Michela Rizzo (Venice), LIS10 Gallery (Arezzo / Paris / Hong Kong), and Lo Magno artecontemporanea (Modica).
Among the key events is a special workshop on February 22 at 11 AM, titled "The Role of Digital Media and Film in Contemporary Art." The session, moderated by Iole Pellion di Persano, founder of Recontemporary (Italy), will explore the impact of digitalization on the contemporary art landscape. Speakers include Chidi Nwaubani (UK), Terence Maluleke (South Africa), and Marina Paulenka (Croatia).
