Two Messina Law students earn prestigious Harvard scholarships

Cambridge – The University of Messina recently held the award ceremony for the first edition of the Antonino Giuffrè scholarships, which will run for five years. Two fifth-year law students, Fabiana Pino and Sara Madonna, were selected to develop their research projects at Harvard University’s Law School in the United States. Each student will receive a scholarship of €10,000.

The awards were presented by engineer Antonio Giuffrè, grandson of Antonino Giuffrè, in the presence of the university’s rector, Giovanna Spatari, the general director, Pietro Nuccio, and several professors from the Department of Law.

“Our hope,” said Rector Spatari, “is that this will be just the first of many editions of these scholarships, which honor a man who left an indelible mark on legal publishing and beyond. We wish Sara and Fabiana wonderful experiences through this opportunity, and we hope that, years from now, they will inspire future generations by sharing the significance of a journey made possible by the generosity of the Giuffrè Family.” (9colonne)
