Munich – Paolo Cognetti, this time stepping into the role of director, will be in Munich on September 18 at 6:00 p.m. for the premiere of his documentary Fiore mio, which he both wrote and directed. The screening will take place at Theatiner Filmkunst, the cinema that from that day on will be showing the film across theaters in Germany.
In the documentary, Cognetti, accompanied by his loyal dog Laki, embarks on a deeply personal journey through the mountains of his childhood, where the trails, people, and animals around Monte Rosa shaped his life. From his cabin in Valle d’Aosta, he follows the course of water up to the melting glaciers, across a striking Alpine landscape in transformation. Fiore mio is an invitation to pause, observe, and reflect: nature changes, but it never disappears; where something fades, something new comes to life.
The screening, organized by Luftkind Filmverleih GmbH, Films That Matter, and Theatiner Filmkunst in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Munich, will be in Italian with German subtitles.
