“Visioni Sarde” brings island stories to Finland and Germany

Pori – After a stop in Paris earlier this week, the Sardinian short film showcase Visioni Sarde will arrive in Pori, Finland, on Friday, September 26, coinciding with another screening the same afternoon in Darmstadt, Germany. The traveling festival promotes Sardinian short films and gives young directors the chance to present a fresh, universal and contemporary vision of the island.
In Pori, the screening is hosted by the Società Dante Alighieri and organized by Jenni Lehtonen, president of the Dante Committee of Turku, who has been coordinating the event across Finnish cities for years. Starting at 4:30 p.m. at Porin pääkirjasto, the program will feature: Amare ancora by Giuseppe Carrieri and Gonçalo Claro Da Fonseca; Come siamo diventati by Christiano Pahler; Fratelli by Matteo Manunta; Il servo pastore non dorme di notte by Arianna Lodeserto; S’ozzastru by Carolina Melis; Island for rent by Elio Turno Arthemalle and Salvatore Cubeddu; Mio babbo è superman by Giovanni Maria D’Angelo; S62 by Niccolò Biressi; and Shakespeare in smoke by Francesco Cocco.
Ahead of the screenings, the music video Ambasciadores de Sardigna will be shown as a tribute to Sardinian communities abroad.
