Al Ain – Following his performance in Dubai, Italian musician Luca Ciarla continues his UAE tour with a concert this evening, October 3, at 7:30 pm at the Al Ain Music Festival. On October 4 at 11 am, he will lead a workshop, also in Al Ain, before heading to the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi on October 5 for a workshop in the morning and a concert in the evening.

The Abu Dhabi program will feature a special tribute to composer Luciano Berio on the centenary of his birth. Performing solo, Ciarla recreates his entire band live, transforming the violin into guitar, cello, or percussion, while adding voice, whistling, and improvisation to create what he calls a “solOrkestra.”

His Mediterramìa project offers original compositions, unusual arrangements of Italian folk traditions, and music from across the Mediterranean, blending tradition and experimentation in a constantly evolving soundscape.
