London – A recent internationally significant study, published in the esteemed journal Immunity, sheds new light on a pathological mechanism underlying multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers demonstrated that a specific subpopulation of T regulatory cells (Tregs) expressing the Notch3 molecule is overexpressed both in MS patients and in animal models mimicking the disease. The study represents an international collaboration with Genova playing a leading role.
