Rabat – After successful projects in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, the World Youth Orchestra Foundation, directed by Damiano Giuranna, brings its initiative “Sounds of Brotherhood” to Morocco, with support from the CdP Foundation, the Italian Prime Minister’s Office, and LCA Law Firm, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and Cultural Institute in Rabat.
Awarded the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic, the project uses music and theater to foster dialogue between peoples, engaging young talents and local institutions in training and artistic creation. From October 11 to November 30, “Sounds of Brotherhood” will take place in Rabat and Fès, featuring workshops led by renowned musicians such as Damiano Giuranna, Simonide Braconi, and Francesco Di Rosa, in cooperation with the Institut National Supérieur de Musique et des Arts Chorégraphiques. Theater training will be guided by Valeria Almerighi at ISADAC.
On October 22, the performance Le due lune—in Arabic and Italian—will be staged at the Théâtre Mohammed V. Previously presented at Expo 2021 and in several Mediterranean countries, it celebrates 200 years of Italy-Morocco relations.
With over 3,500 young people involved across 75 countries, the WYO Foundation continues to use the arts as a tool for inclusion, growth, and international cooperation.
