New line-up for Italy’s Alpine Ski Team ahead of Levi slaloms

Levi – Italy’s alpine ski teams are gearing up for the first World Cup slalom races of the season, taking place on 15–16 November on the Finnish slopes of Levi.
Saturday’s women’s race (first run at 10 a.m., second at 1 p.m., live on Rai 2 and Eurosport) brings several changes to the line-up. With Marta Rossetti sidelined for the season and Martina Peterlini still recovering from knee surgery, head coach Roberto Lorenzi will rely on Lara Della Mea and welcome the return of Beatrice Sola.
The 22-year-old from Trentino, out since last December after tearing her ACL and meniscus in training shortly after earning her first World Cup points in Gurgl, is back on skis and ready to compete alongside Emilia Mondinelli, Giorgia Collomb, Giulia Valleriani, Alice Pazzaglia, and Annette Belfrond, who returns to the World Cup after nearly three years and will make her debut in the slalom discipline.
On Sunday 16 November, the men take the stage (same start times, live on Rai 2 and Eurosport) with Alex Vinatzer, Tommaso Sala, Tobias Kastlunger, Corrado Barbera, Tommaso Saccardi, and Matteo Canins. Vinatzer’s best result in Levi remains a 12th place in 2019, while Sala will return to racing after the injury that ended his 2024 season.
