Changchun - The University of Camerino welcomed an official delegation from Jilin Agricultural University on 17 November to celebrate two decades of academic cooperation, one of the institution’s longest-standing international partnerships. The event followed the visit of Unicam’s Rector, Graziano Leoni, to Changchun last September for the Chinese anniversary ceremonies.
Over the years, the collaboration launched in 2005 has evolved into a genuine academic and cultural alliance, built on faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects and, most notably, the creation of a shared degree programme in biotechnology. This initiative, now a dual-degree course taught entirely in English and active in both Italy and China, has involved hundreds of students and stands as one of Unicam’s most accomplished internationalisation models.
“We are celebrating twenty years of mutual trust and shared work, a collaboration that has grown into a real cultural and scientific partnership,” Leoni said. He stressed that the relationship with Jilin has become a platform capable of responding to global challenges such as sustainability, health, emerging technologies and the protection of natural resources.
“Universities are cultural bridges and laboratories of innovation,” he added. “Dialogue generates peace, growth, and the possibility of building stronger communities able to look ahead.”
