University of Foggia professor appointed to ILA Committee on AI and Technology Law

London – Professor Gianpaolo Maria Ruotolo, full professor of International Law at the University of Foggia’s Department of Law and the rector’s delegate for external professional relations and extra-institutional assignments, has been appointed to the International Law Association’s Committee on “Artificial Intelligence and Technology Law.”
Founded in Brussels in 1873 and now headquartered at London’s Senate House, the ILA holds consultative status with several UN specialized agencies. Its mission is to promote the study, clarification and development of international law - both public and private - and to encourage its understanding and implementation.
“This appointment crowns years of research, publications, and work on the international regulation of information technologies,” Ruotolo commented. “I hope to contribute to the development of rules and best practices that foster technological progress for the benefit of people.”
