From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Athens – Italian author Gianni Solla and Greek writer Christos Kythreotis will meet in conversation on 26 November at 6 p.m. at the auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Athens. They will be joined by their translators, Dimitra Dotsi and Valeria Cassino, for an event dedicated to literature, translation and cross-linguistic dialogue, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens in collaboration with Strade – Editorial Translators and Patakis Publishers.
During the event, the authors will present their forthcoming translated works: Ο κλέφτης των τετραδίων by Gianni Solla, translated by Dimitra Dotsi for Patakis (Italian original: Il ladro di quaderni, Einaudi), and Tutto a posto by Christos Kythreotis, translated by Valeria Cassino for Besa Muci Editore (original title Μια χαρά, Patakis). Both publications are part of the “In Breve” series, curated by the Modern Greek Studies Laboratory Mirsini Zorba at Sapienza University of Rome.
The meeting is held within the framework of the ViceVersa Italian–Modern Greek translation workshop, organized by Stradelab with support from the Centro per il Libro e la Lettura, the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture, and the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens.
