Mondo TV’s co-production with RMT for

May 7 – On May 24th 2012, Mondo TV announced the signing of an agreement with Russian television operator Mobile Television LLC ("RMT") for the co-production and distribution of a 2D animated series of 13 episodes of 13 minutes each based on the Russian "Cat Leopold.”
A year later, today, Mondo TV states that it has entered into a new agreement with RMT for the co-production of an additional 13 episodes of 13 minutes each in the same series. The new agreement includes the option to continue the co-production for 26 episodes further episodes, to be developed in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The agreement confirms the role of Mondo TV as executive producer of animated cartoons. RMT will transfer to Mondo TV a share of the production budget for an amount of $1,014,000 for the first 26 episodes, and an additional amount of $ 1,014,000 in case of further production. In addition, Mondo TV will also receive a share of revenues derived from the exploitation of the series via worldwide licensing and merchandising. For 5 years from the date of the first airing of the series in Russia, Mondo TV is responsible for the TV and home video distribution of the series, through its Consumer Products division, licensing and merchandising around the world (except Russia and United States). "Cat Leopold" is a classic animation in Russia, where it has had a significant and continued success since the ‘70s.
