From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Mar. 20 - Marco Paoli flies to the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco with 16 large photographic prints in black and white taken from his book "Silenzio" and his upcoming publication "Ethiopia". The exhibition will be inaugurated on April 2 (6.30pm) and will close a month later, on May 2. "The artist - reads the presentation statement of the Italian Cultural Institute - took these photographs during his travels around the world. For Marco Paoli, a journey is a spiritual adventure through which we look for something inside of us that seems to be forgotten. This work is an exploration of photography as individual memory." Paoli was born in 1959 in Tavernelle Val di Pesa, in Tuscany. After studying at the Bologna Dams, in the 1980s he worked with Alessandro Benvenuti and the Giancattivi group in theater and film productions. Later he joined the media group "GMM- Giovanotti Mondani Meccanici". He currently lives and works in Florence. (Red)
