This social and cultural revolution profoundly influenced and still influences the history, destiny, ideas and customs of our country." Explains Toni Servillo, who explores once again the universe of Eduardo De Filippo. The actor and theater director will be in Marseille on Tuesday, May 12. The event, an award-winning remake of the masterpiece ‘Sabato Domenica e Lunedì’, is promoted by the Italian Institute of Culture of the city. Servillo directed and starred in the theatrical retelling of the three-act play written and performed by De Filippo in 1959, inserted by the same author in the group of works he called "Cantata dei giorni dispari". The Neapolitan artist presented his reinterpretation for the first time in 2002, to then repeat it for four seasons throughout Europe. The show was applauded in major theaters and won numerous awards: in 2005, Servillo received for this work the Premio Gassman for Direction. (Red)
