December 14th, 2015 - Andrea Bocelli’s voice has long been known and appreciated worldwide: The latest international success for the Tuscan tenor confirms it. Bocelli brought to tears, to the tune of film music, the audience of Madison Square Garden in New York, sold out with more than 19.000 spectators. In the coming weeks, the artist is expected to continue his "Cinema World Tour" in Hollywood and Chicago. For the concert in New York on December 7, many prestigious names accompanied Bocelli on stage, including the talented young Russian soprano Aida Garifullina, the famous American voice of opera Renée Fleming, American violinist Caroline Campbell and Italian flautist Andrea Griminelli. There were many moments of great emotion, as Bocelli performed with singer and actress Heather Headley and paid tribute to Frank Sinatra with a version of "New York New York" that turned up the enthusiasm of Madison Square Garden. The great success in New York confirms the popularity of Bocell’is latest recording project, "Cinema", which entered directly into the top 10 of the Billboard 200 in US charts and on the podium in the UK pop music charts. The results in the UK make Bocelli the best-selling classical music artist of all time in the UK. Released on October 23 for the Sugar label, "Cinema" saw the collaboration of international artists such as David Foster, Tony Renis and Humberto Gatica.
