On the occasion of the 17th talian Language Week in the World, promoted by the diplomatic-consular network under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, for the second consecutive Thursday, the Italian Consulate in Basel is once again a cineforum, hosting the screening of the 1964 documentary film "Siamo Italiani", by the Zürich native, Alexander Sailer. The initiative was realised in collaboration with the Basel Comites, on the proposal of the Associazione Valori Italiani nel Mondo (VIM). The documentary retraces the history of Italian emigration to Switzerland that began in the early 1960s.
