(3 may 2018) From Friday May 4th until Sunday June 10th, the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (main gallery, 7th floor) hosts the Caravaggio Opera Omnia exhibition: HD digital painting with works by Michelangelo Merisi. Viewers will be able to admire the greatness of the painter's work: 40 masterpieces hosted in different cities around the world, dispersed among museums and private collections. Viewers will have the opportunity to view the original artwork reproduced on a real scale. Thanks to the new digital technologies that allow a high definition backlighting of the reproduction, visitors will see the incredible and facsimile details of the works of the great Italian painter. According to the Italian Embassy in Bangkok's wesbite, it is a project that was promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and RAI Com. It was brought to Bangkok by the Italian Embassy as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Italy and Thailand.
