(30 october 2018) The Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid collaborates with the Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada in organising the concert of the Italian musician Joe Barbieri, which will be held on November 8th at 21:00 at the Isabel La Católica Theatre in Granada. Organized by the Municipality of Granada, GEGSS and the Diputación of Granada, and with the sponsorship of the Obra Social La Caixa and the collaboration of the Asociación GranadaJazz, the Festival is one of the oldest ones in Europe and the only Spanish member of the European network of jazz festivals Europe Jazz Network. Thirty-eight years have passed since its first edition in 1980, during which its stage has welcomed the best in the history of national and international jazz: Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Haden, Art Blakey, Tete Montoliù, Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Bebo, and Chucho Valdés, to name just a few examples. Once again, jazz will invade the heart of Granada this year, bringing its notes in theatres, clubs, and streets of the city.
