(1 february 2019) The Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow premiered "Saturday, Sunday and Monday" onn Friday, January 25 based on the comedy by Eduardo de Filippo. The production was entrusted to an Italian team, led by the director of the Teatro Stabile di Napoli, Luca de Fusco and Marta Crisolini Malatesta for the set design and costumes and Gianni Carrera for the musical arrangements. The main roles have been interpreted by Russian artists Irina Kupchenko and Evgeny Knyazev. "Saturday, Sunday, and Monday" (1959) is one of the most famous comedies by De Filippo - with a frequent presence in theatres around the world. "I am happy to be here, on the stage of the beautiful Vakhtangov Theatre, to work with wonderful Russian artists, I am happy that this masterpiece of Italian theatre will be included in the Russian theatre repertoire", de Fusco commented to journalists.
