Literature: Italy at Istanbul Festival 

(9 April 2019) From April 18 to 22, the Istanbul International Literature Festival (ITEF) will host a series of meetings with writers, illustrators, and translators from all over the world. The theme that will guide this edition, the eleventh in the history of the festival, is The literature of Breakwaters. Writer Paola Peretti, author of "The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree", published by Rizzoli will represent Italy. On April 20th, at 17:30 in Istanbul at YapıKredi Bomontiada, Paola Peretti and the Turkish writer Şebnem İşigüzel, author of the award-winning novel Edera (published in Italy by Fazi), will be in conversation, moderated by Nazlı Gürkaş significantly titled "Stories that grow on trees".
