(Jun 4th) The agreement signed at the end of March by Lorenzo Dallai, President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and Shalom Simhon, Minister for Industry, Trade and Labor of the Israeli Government, was the main topic of the meeting held this morning in Tel Aviv between Ambassador Luigi Mattiolo and President Dellai. The goal is the creation of a further and stronger pattern of scientific and technological relationships and also the strengthen of cooperation related to business and industrial research through bilateral agreements involving jointly Trentino’s and Israel’s research centres and enterprises. "In Israel there's a lot of attention about our economy,” said the ambassador. In this framework, the effort of the Trentino region fits perfectly, becoming the first agreement signed between the Israeli government and a single Italian region. (red)

CALLING DIARY FOR JOINT RESEARCH PROJECTS
The visit of President Dellai has been useful to define the agenda of the calls for joint research and development projects. These are the tools that will make possible the involvement of enterprises, both from Trentino and Israel. The calls will be annouced next September, in time for the Italy-Israeli bilateral summit to be held in Jerusalem on October 25th.
