Tunis - Addressing the need for specialized labor in the construction sector, a new program will provide specific training followed by the placement of 2,000 skilled Tunisian workers in Italian companies. This initiative, in line with the Mattei Plan, was formalized with an agreement signed on July 2 in Tunis by Tunisian government agencies ANETI (Employment and Self-Employment Agency) and ATFP (Professional Training Agency), the National Builders Association (Ance), and the non-profit training organization ELIS. The plan will be executed by Ance and ELIS in close collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Italian Embassy in Tunis. Coordinated by the International Organization for Migration and funded by the European Union with co-funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, this project is part of the THAMM Plus program, which aims to improve migration and labor mobility governance between Italy and North Africa.
