Reggio Emilia - The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium has recorded an impressive 217% increase in sales in the United States, its main market for the PDO. This data is included in the results for the first half of 2024, which were presented today. To strengthen its presence, the Consortium has opened a new operational office in the USA, aimed at protecting and promoting the product. In addition to the United States, Parmigiano Reggiano has seen significant growth in Canada (+737%) and emerging markets such as China (+438%) and the Gulf Area (+845%). "We are particularly excited about the results achieved in exports, especially in the USA, which confirm that in the near future, the Consortium will need to increasingly invest in growth in foreign markets that represent the future of our PDO," said Nicola Bertinelli, President of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium.
