Vespa: an icon of Italian design on display at Bratislava Castle

Bratislava – With its unmistakable lines, iconic style, instant recognizability and, above all, the emotions it evokes – the sense of freedom and riding with the wind in your hair – the Vespa has all it takes to be considered a work of art. And just like a work of art, the Vespa is now on display in Slovakia in an exhibition dedicated to this Italian legend.

At the Bratislava Castle, visitors can admire Vespa models from various eras until May 11th, starting with one of the very first prototypes built in 1946. The exhibition also features original patent drawings and vintage advertising posters from the Marco Fumagalli Collection, along with rare promotional materials and period toys.

In addition, the exhibition includes contributions from Vespa Klub Slovakia and Vespa Košice, with 21st-century models, such as a Vespa Primavera Touring that has traveled across Europe, including a journey that took its owner all the way to Morocco.

Held under the patronage of Bratislava’s Mayor, Matúš Vallo, the exhibition is one of the main highlights of the 18th edition of the Italian Festival in Slovakia, Dolce Vitaj.
