Kinshasa – The publishing house All Around will present journalist and writer Antonella Napoli’s new book at the Turin International Book Fair. Africa: The Ancient Continent in 16 Reportages is the latest work by Antonella Napoli (published by All Around), who since 2019 has directed Focus on Africa, the first Italian publishing initiative entirely dedicated to the African continent.
The book will be presented on May 17 at the Lingotto, in the Oval space, at 1:00 p.m. In addition to the author, speakers will include Riccardo Noury, spokesperson for Amnesty International, Oumar Barry, a political refugee from Guinea, and Gian Mario Gillio, editor-in-chief of Agenzia Nev and moderator of the event. The presentation will conclude with a musical performance by Tony Esposito.
The book offers a deep look into Africa—or rather, the many Africas—through sixteen reportages, helping readers discover the ancient continent beyond stereotypes and clichés. The event will also mark the launch of a new print edition of Focus on Africa, a special issue created specifically for the Turin Book Fair.
