Stockholm, Sweden – The Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium has launched "Mission Europe", a new initiative aimed at strengthening the presence of Asiago DOP in the European market. The campaign focuses on showcasing the product’s natural origins, traceability, and regional identity, with exclusive events held in partnership with the wine world and gourmet restaurants.
From Stockholm to Berlin, with stops in Copenhagen and Baden-Baden, Asiago cheese will be the star of tastings and meetings with professionals and media, designed to highlight its versatility and strong ties to the Italian lifestyle.
“With this project, we aim to reinforce our identity and create new opportunities in key European markets,” said Flavio Innocenzi, Director of the Consortium. “We’re investing in high-level experiences that spotlight quality and tradition.”
In Sweden and Denmark, Asiago DOP serves as the Official Cheese of the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri World Tour—today in Stockholm and on June 11 in Copenhagen—paired with some of Italy’s finest wines.
In Germany, Italy’s top export market for Asiago, the Consortium will join the Wein & Gourmet Festival in Baden-Baden (June 13–15), hosted by Falstaff, offering tastings of various aging stages.
The campaign continues with two major autumn events: Anuga 2025 in Cologne (October 4–8), and Cheese Berlin (November 9), both dedicated to promoting the value of Italian dairy excellence and the unique traits of Asiago DOP.
