Jazz guitarist Edoardo Baroni takes his third album to Japan

Osaka – Fresh off the release of By Heart (Clockbeats), his third critically acclaimed album, jazz guitarist Edoardo Baroni is embarking on an international tour that includes stops in Switzerland, Bulgaria, Italy, and Japan. Six dates are scheduled across major Japanese cultural hubs, including Tokyo and Osaka.
A highlight of the tour will be Baroni’s performance on July 24 at Expo 2025 in Osaka, where he will represent Italy with a live set that embodies the spirit of his project—a dialogue between jazz virtuosity, classical tradition, and deep emotional resonance. Baroni, known for his refined interpretations of Django Reinhardt, Bach, and Wes Montgomery, blends improvisation with technical precision in a style that is unmistakably his own.
“Playing at Expo is both an honor and a responsibility,” Baroni says. “I’ll carry every note of By Heart as a personal gesture, a musical caress, hoping the Japanese audience can feel the sincerity with which it was born.”
In addition to the Japan tour, Baroni has already performed in Rome, Bern, and Sofia, with upcoming dates in Lombardy and Piedmont. His repertoire centers on By Heart, weaving together original compositions like “Let off Steam” and “Silvia” with refined reinterpretations of jazz and classical staples such as “All the Things You Are” and Bach’s Prelude BWV 999. A tribute to Django Reinhardt, a key influence and subject of his thesis, will also be part of each set.
The tour is accompanied by a curated visual identity, from the album cover designed by Serbian artist Ivan Bjorn to the music video for “Let off Steam,” premiered on Sky TG24.
