Montalcino dairy shines at 2025 Cheese & Dairy Awards

Stafford – The Caseificio dei Barbi from Montalcino has once again impressed the international dairy world, earning six medals—including four golds—at the prestigious 2025 International Cheese & Dairy Awards, held in Stafford, UK.
Among the award-winning cheeses are the 24-Month Aged Cacio, 12-Month Aged Canestrato, Truffle Cacio, and Cacio aged in ziro (a traditional Tuscan container), all of which won gold medals. The creamery also took home two bronze medals for the White Truffle Cacio and the Cacio with Black Pepper.
In just four years since its relaunch, the Tuscan dairy has amassed an impressive tally of 32 international medals: 1 Super Gold, 16 Golds, 9 Silvers, and 6 Bronzes. Once again, Caseificio dei Barbi reaffirms its place among Italy’s finest producers of artisanal cheese.
