Belgrade – The Italian Cultural Institute of Belgrade presents “Mingus Portrait”, a concert by the Attilio Zanchi Septet with DJ Farrapo, taking place on Saturday 16 August at 8:30 p.m. at the Niš Fortress, as part of the prestigious Nišville Jazz Festival (14–17 August). The project pays tribute to the genius of Charles Mingus, blending contemporary jazz, improvisation, and original arrangements. Leading the septet is Milan-born double bassist Attilio Zanchi, a prominent figure on the European jazz scene, joined by Gianni Azzali, Tino Traccana, Andrea Andreoli, Daniele Nocella, Massimo Colombo, and Tommy Bradascio. It promises an intense and refined musical journey, celebrating one of jazz’s great pillars through the voices of some of Italy’s finest musicians.
