Brussels – The Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels will host a special historical storytelling event on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., featuring Marco Cappelli, the creator of the acclaimed podcast “Storia d’Italia,” which won the Discover Podcast Awards in 2020 for Best Non-English Language Podcast.
The free event, conducted in Italian, will be a live episode dedicated to the Fourth Crusade, the rise of Venice, and the decline of the Byzantine Empire. “Storia d’Italia” tells the story of Italy in a captivating and comprehensive way, weaving together political, economic, cultural, and religious developments from a Mediterranean and European perspective.
Marco Cappelli, trained as an economist, chose to follow his passion for history, becoming one of Italy’s most authoritative voices in historical storytelling. The event will take place at the IIC Brussels, Rue de Livourne 38.
