Istanbul – The Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul is hosting a lecture by art and architectural historian Paolo Girardelli on the Italian influence in the architectural heritage of Beyoğlu. The event, held in Turkish, will take place this evening, October 2, at 8 p.m. at the Church of St. Anthony. Spanning the 19th and 20th centuries, the lecture will guide the audience through the traces left by Italian communities in the cultural and urban fabric of Istanbul, with a particular focus on the historical, artistic, and architectural ties that helped shape one of the city’s most emblematic districts.
