Treviso – The 2025 Tiramisù World Cup has its new queens: Barbara Tosato from Mestre (Venice) triumphed in the classic recipe category, while Daniela De Biasio from Farra di Soligo (Treviso) took home the prize for the creative version.
After an intense weekend of selections in Treviso, Tosato, a medical radiotherapy technician, dedicated her win to her family: “This result comes from perseverance and hard work — and from learning to take criticism.”
De Biasio, 54, who works in an agritourism business, revealed her secret: “It’s all about the balance of ingredients and a stable cream.”
“The Tiramisù has become a reason for pilgrimage to Treviso — a meeting point for people and cultures from all over the world,” said event founder Francesco Redi, already planning the 10th edition with “the same enthusiasm and surprises as ever.”
The “La Cucina Italiana” Award went to Paolo Silvegni from Rimini for his tiramisù with Tonka beans and cinnamon.
