Tiepolo Prize 2025 honors Edoardo Garrone and Manuel Manrique; special recognition for Enrico Letta

Madrid – The Tiepolo Prize jury has awarded Edoardo Garrone, chairman of ERG S.p.A., and Manuel Manrique Cecilia, chairman of Sacyr S.A., for their outstanding contributions to Italy-Spain economic relations.
Garrone was recognized for driving ERG’s expansion in Spain through strategic acquisitions, resulting in 266 MW of installed solar capacity. Manrique was honored for his role in modernizing vital Italian infrastructure, managing over 500 km of highways and contributing to healthcare projects.
This year, the jury also granted a Special Tiepolo Prize to Enrico Letta, Dean of IE University’s School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs (SPEGA) and former Italian Prime Minister, acknowledging his efforts to foster dialogue between Spain and Italy and strengthen European solidarity and competitiveness.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 11 at the Italian Embassy in Madrid, attended by Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi and key representatives from both countries’ business and institutional sectors. The 28th edition of the Tiepolo Prize is jointly awarded by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Spain (CCIS) and the Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Organizations (CEOE), under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Madrid.
