Italian jewelry industry shines in Seoul at ICE Trade Workshop

As part of its ongoing promotion of the Italian goldsmith and jewelry sectors, the ICE Agency (Italian Trade Agency) will hold a business-to-business workshop in Seoul on November 26–27. The event will bring together industry professionals to boost collaboration and visibility for Made in Italy craftsmanship. South Korea’s jewelry imports have reached USD 915 million—an increase of 33% compared to the same period in 2024. France currently leads as the country’s top supplier, narrowly surpassing Italy since May 2025. French jewelry holds a 31% share of total imports (USD 283 million), followed closely by Italy at 29.2% (USD 267 million). The United States ranks third with a 14.2% share (USD 129 million). Growth rates remain strong across the board: +39.7% for France, +24.9% for Italy, and +36.4% for the U.S.—a trend also supported by the continued rise in gold prices. Notably, 96.6% of Italian jewelry exports to South Korea consist of precious-metal pieces excluding silver.
