Johannesburg – “The Art and Culture of Gelato” is the title of the event taking place in Johannesburg on 4 December from 5:30 p.m. at the Dante Alighieri Italian Language School. The initiative is organized by Comites, the Italian–South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fabbri, the Dante Alighieri Society, and Gelato University South Africa.
The evening celebrates Italian culinary traditions, offering guests the chance to enjoy specialties such as Roman-style pizza and arancini, ending with an exceptional gelato tasting. Fior di latte will be served with a live finishing touch of extra-virgin olive oil, along with traditional Sicilian brioche filled with gelato.
A highlight of the night will be the unveiling of a new mural at the Italian school—an artistic gift from the students of the National School of the Arts, symbolizing the cultural connection between Italy and South Africa. (9colonne)
