Italy strengthens presence at Libya Build 2026 in Benghazi

Benghazi – The Italian Trade Agency (ICE), through its promotional desk at the Italian Embassy in Tripoli, is organizing a collective Italian participation at Libya Build 2026 – Benghazi edition, scheduled to take place from 20 to 23 April at the Benghazi Exhibition Centre. The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with Assorestauro and is aimed at Italian companies operating in restoration, construction and building materials. Now in its 16th edition, Libya Build is the largest specialized trade fair for the construction and building sector in North Africa. Libya is currently undergoing a phase of extensive renovation and redevelopment, involving both public and private real estate as well as major infrastructure projects. Cities such as Tripoli and Benghazi are witnessing strong activity in residential and commercial construction, alongside the development of new industrial zones aligned with the country’s ambition to strengthen its manufacturing base. The Libyan market offers promising opportunities for Italian firms in areas including architectural and engineering services, restoration, and materials for both public and private housing. The 2025 edition of the fair, held in Tripoli, hosted 280 exhibitors, including 26 Italian companies.
