From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Italian troops serving with NATO’s KFOR mission in Kosovo have delivered two new donations to local communities as part of civil-military cooperation efforts led by Regional Command West.
In Štrpce, the local cultural centre received a photovoltaic system aimed at improving energy independence, lowering operating costs and promoting environmental sustainability. The new installation will allow the municipality to reinvest more resources in cultural and social activities for residents.
A second donation was made in Junik, where the local mountain rescue association was provided with technical equipment and specialist gear. The initiative builds on earlier training delivered with support from Italy’s National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps and is designed to strengthen emergency response capabilities in mountainous terrain while also supporting the area’s tourism sector.
The handover ceremonies were attended by Colonel Lorenzo Mangia, commander of Regional Command West, as well as local mayors and representatives of the beneficiary organisations.
