MANN+HUMMEL boosts innovation in Italy to tackle the global water challenge

Ludwigsburg – Addressing one of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, the water crisis, global filtration leader MANN+HUMMEL is expanding its Italian operations to develop advanced technologies. The company’s site in Cerreto d’Esi, Marche, will drive innovation in water purification, leveraging Italian engineering expertise to enhance the group’s global production capacity.

MANN+HUMMEL’s filtration solutions target contaminants such as salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants, providing safe and potable water. “We are proud to apply the skills our engineers and technicians have developed over the years,” said Elena Santi, Finance Director LS&E and CEO of MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions Italy. “The Marche region offers a strong manufacturing tradition, an established industrial network, and top-quality human capital. It’s the ideal location for innovation and growth.”

The expansion plan will have a significant impact on the local industrial fabric, including the creation of around 100 new jobs by 2030, closer collaboration with regional companies, and partnerships with universities and research centers. MANN+HUMMEL positions itself as a key player in the global water sector, contributing to social stability, water security, and climate change adaptation.
