Buenos Aires – A delegation from the University of Messina was recently received in Buenos Aires, at the Senate, by the Vice President of the Republic and President of the Senate, Victoria Eugenia Villarruel. Those attending the meeting included professor Alessandro Morelli, director of the Department of Political and Legal Sciences; professor Giovanni Moschella, scientific coordinator for the PNRR TNE project Heritage for Future – HerI4Future at the University of Messina; and professor Valentina Prudente. The discussion took place in a climate of strong institutional cordiality and offered an important opportunity to exchange views on academic cooperation between Italy and Argentina, particularly in the fields of constitutional law and parliamentary institutions. During the meeting, participants considered launching a collaboration between the university’s Department of Political and Legal Sciences and Argentine academic and parliamentary institutions, including through the involvement of the master’s program in “Parliamentary and Assembly Institutions,” organized by the Center for Studies in Parliamentary Law and Elected Assemblies at the University of Messina. The parties also shared the goal of promoting joint initiatives in advanced training, seminars, and research projects focusing on constitutional systems and the functioning of representative assemblies. The meeting is part of a broader effort by the Sicilian university to strengthen international cooperation between academia and institutions. (9colonne)
