London – The seventh edition of SMAU | Italy RestartsUp kicks off in London, the roadshow organized by SMAU – one of the main reference points for Italy’s innovation ecosystem and an international aggregator of opportunities – from March 9 to 11 in the British capital. For the first time, the program will also include an additional day on March 12 in Dublin dedicated to exploring Ireland’s main innovation hubs. Organized in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the initiative will officially open at the Embassy of Italy in London, which will also host the first day’s panel discussion, “The Pulse of Progress.” The event is part of a broader series devoted to Italian innovation and will focus on prospects for collaboration between Italy and the United Kingdom in high-tech sectors and emerging open-innovation models. The core of the London stop will take place at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, a hub for innovation in the British capital, where a delegation of 40 startups – selected among the most innovative in Italy – will present their solutions to investors, corporates, and stakeholders from the UK ecosystem. They will be joined by representatives from ten Italian corporates, including Edison, FNM, Fondazione NEST – Network for Energy Sustainable Transition, Gruppo Hera, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Iren, PNO Digital, Terna, Trenord, and Veolia, together with key local ecosystem players. Supporting the participation of the innovative companies are the Emilia-Romagna Region through ART-ER, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region through the Agency for Labor & Business Development – Select Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Marche Region, and the Lazio Region.
