New York – Pernigotti has signed a licensing agreement with Konami Cross Media NY to launch a special edition line of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL-themed chocolate eggs for the upcoming Easter season.
The agreement – brokered by Starbright Licensing, the group’s Italian sub-agent – includes the production of premium milk chocolate eggs under the Walcor brand dedicated to the famous anime and manga franchise.
Now in its eighth series, the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise is distributed in 90 countries worldwide, with 3.7 million followers and more than 1.3 billion impressions generated each year.
The 200-gram eggs will feature the series’ young protagonist, Yuma Tsukumo. Each egg will contain exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL cards and 3D charms in six different designs inspired by some of the series’ most beloved characters.
“Thanks to our consolidated experience in anime and manga licensing, we are strengthening the company’s presence in the entertainment segment with Yu-Gi-Oh!, one of the most iconic, long-running and cross-generational franchises worldwide,” said Francesca Baldricchi, Marketing & Licensing Manager at Pernigotti.
