Strong start for L’Arca di Lorè’s first live shows in Australia

Adelaide – The journey of L’Arca di Lorè began on the other side of the world, with strong attendance and enthusiasm for the project’s first Australian concerts in Brisbane and its performance at the WOMAD Festival in Adelaide.
At the festival, Lorenzo brought his music to the stage while also paying tribute to Italian culture and imagery. WOMAD – the historic international arts festival founded by British rock musician Peter Gabriel and dedicated to the meeting of musical cultures from around the world – proved to be the perfect setting for L’Arca di Lorè, a project built around the idea of travel, exchange and cultural fusion.
On stage with Lorenzo was a tight-knit and essential line-up: Saturnino, B-Dog and Adriano Viterbini. The set focused on the most rhythm-driven tracks in the repertoire and included wide sections of improvisation.
The energetic and free-spirited performance was warmly received by the Australian audience.
“The WOMAD Festival was created to do what music has always done: cross borders, just like wind, light, the ocean and love. With my magical Saturnino, B-Dog and Adriano Viterbini we played a wild set based mainly on our most rhythmic and powerful material, improvising a lot. You could literally say people were jumping like kangaroos,” Jovanotti said.
After Australia, Africa and Europe, L’Arca di Lorè’s journey across continents and cultures will arrive in Italy in August with the Jova Summer Party, a series of live events that will bring the Arca’s energy and festive spirit to seven locations across southern Italy.
The tour will culminate in Rome with Jova al Massimo, a double concert event at the Circo Massimo designed as a large collective celebration of music, rhythm and freedom.
