Wine, Brunello di Montalcino Consortium heads to ProWein

Düsseldorf – The Brunello di Montalcino Wine Consortium continues its international promotional tour in Germany, where from March 15 to 17 it will take part in the 32nd edition of ProWein in Düsseldorf. A total of 28 wineries will be represented within the consortium’s exhibition area in Hall 3, including seven companies with their own stands inside the collective space. At the Consortium’s wine bar, visitors will be able to taste the labels released on the market this year: Brunello 2021 and Brunello Riserva 2020, along with Rosso di Montalcino 2024. “The German market continues to be a historic and strategic destination for our appellation,” said Giacomo Bartolommei, president of the Brunello di Montalcino Wine Consortium. “At a complex time for the sector, with declining consumption and unstable international scenarios, it is increasingly important to expand the reach of our promotional activities in foreign markets. Our presence at ProWein responds to this need: it is an opportunity to create new business prospects for our producers, strengthen the premium positioning of our wines, and consolidate our presence in areas we consider key. For the same reasons we will also take part in Vinitaly afterward.” The fair in Verona will mark the final stop of the consortium’s trade-show marathon. The 58th edition of Vinitaly will take place from April 12 to 15 and will feature the consortium in three masterclasses. Before arriving in Italy, however, the tour will also stop in London, where the British edition of Benvenuto Brunello will be held on March 24 at Dartmouth House in Mayfair. The program includes a walk-around tasting and two masterclasses led by Master of Wine Gabriele Gorelli, reserved for specialized press and trade professionals. ProWein will also host tastings and B2B meetings. The event currently features around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, spread across halls 1–7 of the Düsseldorf exhibition center.
