London – Match Point is a literary competition for unpublished short stories, written in Italian by residents in the United Kingdom. It was launched by the Circolo Italian Cultural Association in collaboration with Londra Scrive, the digital literary magazine Cattedrale – Osservatorio sul racconto, and the Premio Calvino, under the patronage of the Italian Consulate General in London. Now in its fifth edition, the competition invites participants to remember and to write a short story – fictional, autobiographical, intimate, or collective memory – centered on the theme of remembrance. It may focus on what is remembered or on the process of remembering; on personal or historical memory, belonging to our generation or another, fresh from a few hours ago or from a distant season. The deadline for submissions is June 14, 2026. The jury – composed of authors Olga Campofreda, Daniele Derossi, Marco Mancassola, and Paolo Nelli, literary agent Isabella d’Amico, and journalists Monica Capuani and Caterina Soffici – will select the winners, who will be awarded on October 21 during the Week of the Italian Language in the World, at a ceremony held at the Italian Cultural Institute in London.
