Prague – Following the success of the short story collection Inciampi (Czech translation by Sára Rodová, Meridione), presented in 2024 at the Prague International Book Fair and at the Scientific Library of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Gian Marco Griffi returns to the Czech Republic for a new event tied to the Czech release of the novel Railways of Mexico. Published by a small publishing house, the novel was Italy’s literary event of 2022, quickly achieving major success through word of mouth among readers. Reissued in several editions, it has also received critical acclaim, becoming a finalist for the Strega Prize and Fahrenheit Book of the Year 2022. In Sára Rodová’s translation and published by Meridione, Railways of Mexico is now being introduced to Czech audiences, who will have the opportunity to meet Gian Marco Griffi in person on April 14 in Frýdek-Místek.
