Italian Food & Beverage in Singapore returns in July

Singapore – Italian Food and Beverage in Singapore (IFBS) returns, an initiative aimed at Italian agri-food companies interested in entering or strengthening their presence in Asian markets. Organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore with the support of Italian Chambers of Commerce across Asia and Australia, the event will take place on July 1–2 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Emerging Asian countries are increasingly establishing themselves as a driving force behind global import growth, with an estimated increase of around 10% between 2022 and 2023. In 2021, Italian food and beverage exports to Singapore grew by 15.1%, reaching 145 million Singapore dollars. Italy also remains the second-largest European wine supplier to the Singaporean market, consolidating its strong position in a strategic hub for the entire region. IFBS is a promotional and B2B networking platform offering Italian companies direct access to buyers and operators from 13 key Asia-Pacific countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, India, and Australia. The format includes two days of scheduled B2B meetings, complemented by company presentations and tastings of food, beverage, and wine products. It is not merely an exhibition, but a structured pathway designed to support companies in entering Far East markets operationally, through a targeted meeting agenda and scouting activities coordinated with Italian Chambers in the region. Results from the last edition confirm the strength of the project: over 30 exhibiting companies, more than 600 visitors, and 50 selected buyers from across Asia, for a total of 1,200 B2B meetings held over the two days, averaging 25 meetings per participating company.
